Lynnwood departments present proposed budgets ahead of 2027-28 biennium

Lynnwood City Council reviewed proposed departmental budgets on October 21 to address a shortfall for the 2027-2028 biennium. The city plans significant staffing cuts across development services (41% reduction), IT (3 positions), and human resources (1 position), while exploring adding an in-house city attorney to reduce legal costs that jumped from $40,000 annually to nearly $400,000 in 2025.
