AQM Ultrafine Particle Readings

A new Sea-Tac Airport noise and air quality monitoring initiative is tracking ultrafine particle readings from three sites beneath flight paths, pulling data from the University of Washington, Puget Sound Clean Air, and NOAA. The project is still in development as organizers verify data, fill gaps, and refine how they’ll present the information to the public. This tracking effort could provide Burien residents—many of whom live under flight corridors—with better visibility into local air quality impacts from airport operations.
