Crabbers, winter crabbing season reopens Oct. 1

Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife has reopened winter crabbing season in several marine areas, including north Puget Sound, starting Thursday, October 1. Area 7 North and South—covering Puget Sound waters near Whatcom and Skagit counties—will remain open through December 31, with crabbers able to fish seven days a week. While not directly in Burien, this regional fishing reopening may interest South King County residents who crab or fish these northern waters.
