Employees working for Sound Transit subcontractor cheated out of millions in unpaid wages

Dozens of employees working for Jusalis House Cleaning, a subcontractor hired by Sound Transit through Dexterra, were cheated out of millions in unpaid wages while performing janitorial services at Link light rail sites. Workers were paid $20 per hour instead of the required $29.33 prevailing wage, worked seven days a week with no rest days, received no pay stubs, and experienced months-long payment delays. The company, operating without a valid business license, owes approximately $100,000 per worker when including penalties and sick leave owed, with about 25 employees affected total.
