Everett, Community Transit Lay Out Long-Awaited Transit Consolidation Plan

Everett and Community Transit released a draft consolidation plan Wednesday that would merge the city-run Everett Transit into the larger regional system by April 2027. The deal includes a 50% increase in bus service by 2030, a sales tax increase from 0.6% to 1.2%, and Everett receiving $54.5 million for its transit assets. City Council and Community Transit Board votes are scheduled for early November after public hearings October 28-29.
