Paine Field adds San Jose route and extra California flights

Alaska Airlines announced Thursday it will expand service at Seattle Paine Field by 50% through summer 2027, adding a twice-daily San Jose route starting April 14, 2027, and increasing flights to Los Angeles, Portland, San Diego, and San Francisco. While Paine Field is about 25–31 miles north of downtown Seattle, this regional airport news has limited direct impact on Burien residents in South King County.
