New Airo Trains Start Rolling on Amtrak Cascades September 30
New Airo trains manufactured by Siemens will begin operating on Amtrak Cascades starting September 30, according to WSDOT. The upgraded trainsets feature 317 seats (nearly double previous capacity), ergonomic seating, improved WiFi, and enhanced cafe cars. Two initial trains will serve the Seattle-Vancouver and Seattle-Eugene routes, with five additional sets arriving by year’s end, bringing better service to regional rail passengers.
