WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Knife-wielding boat prowler chased from Fauntleroy Cove

A knife-wielding boat prowler was chased from Fauntleroy Cove in West Seattle after being discovered aboard a resident’s vessel with suspected stolen boating gear. The man, described as mid-40s with a salt-and-pepper beard, fled in an inflatable and brandished a knife at both the resident and U.S. Coast Guard officers before abandoning his boat near Elliott Bay Marina and disappearing into wooded areas. As of the report, he remains at large; residents are urged to secure boats and call 911 if sighted.
