Town & Country Markets Ballard to celebrate 40th anniversary

Town & Country Markets Ballard, located in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, celebrates its 40th anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 19, from noon to 4 p.m. The free event features birthday cake, food samples, 1980s music, a pickled herring eating contest, and activities for kids. A hot prime rib sandwich fundraiser will support the Ballard Senior Center. Anniversary deals run Sept. 18–20.
