King County’s North Highline Unincorporated Area Council met in September 2026 to discuss the county’s 2029 Comprehensive Plan midpoint update, with focus on climate resilience, shorelines, and housing. County Director of Local Services Leon Richardson announced a new $100 million sales-tax funding source for road improvements and sidewalks in unincorporated areas.
