King County Assessor John Wilson violated the ethics code four times, according to a report released Wednesday by the King County Office of the Ombuds. Violations include misuse of county email and resources for personal business, campaign activity, and using county devices for inappropriate conduct. The investigation began after a complaint filed in June 2025 alleged Wilson used county resources to contact and harass his former domestic partner. Wilson’s term ends this year.
