Skagit County reduces burning restrictions to allow recreational fires

Skagit County, located north of King County, has relaxed its burn ban to allow recreational fires in unincorporated areas starting September 1 due to increased moisture. The change permits charcoal and seasoned firewood fires in approved enclosures, though state restrictions on yard debris burning and DNR lands remain in effect through September 30.
