Family Care Network to acquire Optum clinic in Bellingham

Family Care Network, a Bellingham-based primary care provider, is acquiring an Optum clinic on Ellis Street in Bellingham, with the transition expected to finalize in November. The clinic currently serves about 8,000 patients with 30 staff members including seven core clinicians. While this represents regional healthcare consolidation in Whatcom County, it has no direct impact on Burien residents or services.
