Everett Link Reaches Key Federal Approval Milestone

The Federal Transit Administration approved Sound Transit’s draft environmental impact statement for the Everett Link project, which would extend light rail 16 miles north from Lynnwood. Public comment begins September 18 and must last at least 45 days. Sound Transit plans to open the first four stations to SW Industrial Center in 2037, with Downtown Everett following in 2041, pending federal approval of the final environmental analysis.
