Vandalized Black Panther Mural at Franklin High School Gets a Glow-Up

A vandalized mural honoring the Seattle Black Panther Party at Franklin High School has been restored and reinstalled this month. Volunteers, including current and former Franklin students, teaching artists, and community members, repaired the mural originally created in 2018 and added a new panel below it featuring a quote by Black Panther member Ericka Huggins about unity and interconnection.
