Seattle Seeks to Broaden Climate Action Plan, with Adaptation in Mind

Seattle is updating its climate action plan for the first time in 13 years, focusing on both emissions reduction and climate adaptation. At a July 15 forum at the University of Washington, city officials and community leaders discussed 10 “action families”—including health, buildings, transportation, and energy—while emphasizing the need for regional partnerships with King County and state agencies.
