From the front lines to home: Pierce County firefighters wrap up two-week battle

Three Pierce County firefighters, including Lieutenant Hash, returned home after two weeks fighting the Little Giant Fire in Chelan County’s Entiat Valley. The massive wildfire has burned over 140,000 acres since igniting July 15, destroyed at least 30 structures, and remains only 15% contained. While the fire is primarily an eastern Washington event, the deployment of local firefighters and their gained experience has regional significance for Puget Sound fire services.
