Remembering Alan Grainger, 1949-2026

Alan Grainger, a renowned architect who co-founded GGLO and designed major Seattle housing projects including High Point and Yesler Terrace, passed away July 19, 2026, at age 76. A celebration of his life is planned for October 24 at The Hall at Fauntleroy in West Seattle. Grainger was deeply involved in community boards and design review across the region throughout his 50-year career.
