Route 40 project enters final construction phase in Ballard, Fremont, and beyond

Seattle’s Route 40 Transit-Plus Multimodal Corridor Project is entering final construction phases in Ballard, Fremont, Westlake, and North Seattle. The Seattle Department of Transportation says crews will complete finishing work including sidewalk repairs, landscaping restoration, sign installation, and pavement markings through summer and fall, with some nighttime work on Market Street and Leary Avenue expected in Ballard.
