‘They just left the ballot blank’: Future 42’s Steve Gordon warns undervoting could shape WA’s Supreme Court once again
Steve Gordon of Future 42 is urging Washington voters to pay attention to state Supreme Court races, warning that undervoting—leaving the ballot blank for justices—could swing close races. Gordon cited 2024’s race where candidate Dave Larson lost partly due to undervotes, mainly from Eastern Washington. Future 42 and an allied group called Full Court Press are working to educate voters about judicial candidates, particularly this year’s two newly appointed justices with ties to Governor Bob Ferguson.
