Seattle Funding Measure Adding 100,000 Bus Trips Heads to Voters

Seattle City Council unanimously approved a renewed transit funding measure on Tuesday that will go before voters in November. The measure would increase the sales tax from 0.15% to 0.3%, generating $138 million annually to fund approximately 100,000 additional bus trips per year and double subsidized ORCA passes for low-income residents.
