Attorney Preparing Lawsuit Against Highline Public Schools Over 10-Month Records Delay

A Highline Public Schools parent and attorney is preparing to sue the district in King County Superior Court over a 9-10 month delay in responding to public records requests about the reassignment of Raisbeck Aviation High School Principal Therese Tipton. Kristen Price says the district is illegally stalling access to financial records and claims the delays expose taxpayers to unnecessary legal liability. She has given the district five business days to correct the timelines before filing a lawsuit.
