French bakery Petit Pierre to open in former Starbucks space

French bakery Petit Pierre plans to open a third Seattle location in Ballard at 2200 NW Market Street, in the former Starbucks space that closed in September 2025. Co-owner Joanna Chau told My Ballard the bakery is in early planning stages and hopes to open in early 2027, expanding their menu to include breads like sourdough and baguettes. The award-winning bakery already operates locations in Magnolia and Phinney Ridge.
