Harbor Island Studios Has New Operators

Harbor Island Studios, a regional film production facility, has new operators: Kirk Nordenstrom and Kris Flink from the nonprofit CREATE48, announced Tuesday by King County Executive Girmay Zahilay. However, the studio’s future remains uncertain—the county lease ends June 30, 2027, and Solid Waste Division may sell the property at any time. The new operators aim to book major productions and potentially secure a long-term extension.
