FOLLOWUP: King County Executive’s two-part plan for Harbor Island Studios’ future

King County Executive Girmay Zahilay announced a one-year lease with CREATE48 Media Network to operate Harbor Island Studios, the county-owned film facility. While the county moves forward with surplussing the $22 million property to find a buyer, CREATE48 will manage operations and continue supporting the regional film industry. The Burien Film Festival is among CREATE48’s local programs.
