Tribal Canoe Journey will make Alki stop in late July

The annual Tribal Canoe Journey, hosted this year by the Nisqually Tribe, will make a stop at Alki Beach on July 29th in the afternoon. Approximately 110-120 canoes from dozens of American and Canadian tribes are expected to arrive between 1-3 pm as part of the “Paddle to Nisqually Medicine Creek Potlatch.” The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe will welcome the canoes and provide overnight camping and meals. Public parking with shuttle service from Harbor Avenue will be available to manage traffic.
