Metro Launches Summer Bus from Ballard to Golden Gardens

Metro launched a new summer-only bus route called Golden Gardens Direct on June 27, connecting Ballard to Golden Gardens Park with service running daily 11 am to 9 pm through August 30. The shuttle costs $3 per ride (free for youth 18 and under) and runs every 30 minutes from 15th and Market Street in Ballard, funded by $300,000 in Seattle Transit Measure money. While this serves the broader King County region, it’s specific to Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood and Golden Gardens Park.
