Food Bank offering free Summer Meals for children starting Thursday, June 18

The Des Moines Area Food Bank launches its 2026 Summer Food Service Program on Thursday, June 18, offering free meals to children ages 1–18 at multiple South King County sites through September 2. Two Burien locations will participate: Hazel Valley Elementary (402 SW 132nd St.) serving breakfast and lunch Mondays and Fridays, July 6–31, and Lakeview Park (422 SW 160th St.) offering lunch on Mondays, July 6–27.
