‘Robbery as a team sport’: Kent man convicted of 17 felonies in armed crime spree across Puget Sound

A 26-year-old Kent man, Shannon Hartfield, was convicted Tuesday of 17 federal felonies for leading an armed robbery crew across the Puget Sound region from December 2021 to June 2022. Hartfield recruited younger people, including juveniles as young as 14, to rob marijuana dispensaries, credit unions, and banks, providing firearms and getaway vehicles. He faces a mandatory minimum of 45 years in prison, with sentencing scheduled for August 25.
