Beach fire season at Alki officially starts tonight

Beach fire season at Alki Beach officially begins Friday, May 22, 2026, running through September 7. Seattle Parks permits fires in designated pits on a first-come, first-served basis seven days a week, with fires required to be extinguished by 10 p.m. Only clean, dry firewood is allowed in installed fire containers; no personal fire pits or propane rings permitted. Alki is in West Seattle, a neighboring community to Burien.
