2026 Trailhead Direct Season Maintains Two Weekend Routes to Hiking Destinations

King County’s Trailhead Direct shuttle service begins its 2026 season this Saturday, offering weekend service every 30 minutes to Mount Si and Issaquah Alps trailheads through August 30. The shuttles connect from Sound Transit light rail stations including the new Judkins Park station, with fares matching regular Metro bus rates ($3 adults, free for youth 18 and under). Last year the service drew 12,263 riders, a 35% increase, though some popular Issaquah Alps trailheads won’t be served this season due to route streamlining.
